Last pic and I will stop dominating your feed..
The summer is almost over but it was fantastic. It’s been the best summer since I’ve had Carbon. We’ve been in KC for around 5 years without friends or family and being back home has been such fun. So glad I got to see some of my closest friends and that Carbon has had a very eventful summer. Looking forward to getting back in touch with some old friends and settling down in a new home with all my boys.

I can’t believe I found this Macro lens at a garage sale today. I am just blown away by it actually, most know that I’ve wanted one for a while now.
What is even more amazing is that this is the 3rd year in a row I’ve had a camera piece just fall into my hands around my birthday.
I am so thankful for my husband who sacrifices so much to spoil and take care of his family. This year has been hard but him coming home has made me feel complete again, on top of that Carbon and I have a fantastic birthday gift to look forward to in the next couple weeks.
But honestly these past seven years have been… unexplainable, I feel like that universe has been so great to me. The first half of my life I was miserable and rarely felt the will to live. And now I feel that fighting and surviving the misery was all worth it. We all experience karma at different parts of our life but I truly believe good things come to those who wait and just because you THINK you are ready for something doesn’t mean you are ready, it will come when the universe decides you are ready, and you are least expecting it.
I will never regret my growing kindness, compassion, honesty, respect and commitment. Even when I feel someone doesn’t deserve it or they take it for granted, it always pays off in one way or another.
I can’t wait to try this out once I get an adapter, I really don’t know shit about cameras, but I’m stoked to see the world through a new lens.
Thank you, I love you. View Larger

Jan. 18, 2012 β€” In case there is any doubt about the size of the Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia and the scale of the problem rescue crews (and now salvage crews) face, this incredible satellite photograph of the cruise ship, on its side, has been released by Colorado-based Earth-observation companyΒ DigitalGlobe.

The Costa Concordia ran aground in shallow waterΒ off the Tuscan coast on Jan. 13, gouging a hole in her hull. 3,200 passengers were on board and, at time of writing, 11 people have been confirmed dead and two dozen remain missing.

DigitalGlobe operates three satellites β€” the Quickbird, Worldview-1 and Worldview-2 β€” all equipped with high-resolution cameras that capture detailed imagery for commercial use. This view of the cruise ship shows her on her side, half-submerged in 100-meter deep waters.

To give a sense of scale, the ship measures 290-meters (950 feet) long, that’s almost the length of three football fields end-to-end.
